HA cluster

Three controllers, each a full member: they run etcd between them and share a virtual IP that moves if one goes away. Clients talk to the virtual IP and never know which machine answered.

OpenStack

A node on an OpenStack cloud, from the published qcow2. Verified on OVH Public Cloud; nothing below is specific to that provider beyond the network name.

Rescue mode

A rescue system is the live environment a provider boots instead of your disk when you ask for one. It is the usual way onto a dedicated server that has no remote console worth using, and it is enough to install Corium: the image installs itself, and the rescue only has to run it.
